Temperature: -240°C up to +270°C, short term +310°C. After temperature exceeds 120°C for the first time the bolts should be Re-tightened

Resistant: All media pH 0-14, e.g. acids, alkaline, solvents, paint, oil, grease, steam Excluded: molten and/or solved alkaline metals and elementary or gaseous fluoride at high temperature or under high pressure.

Food: According to the German Federal Health Ministry’s paper BG Nr. 21 suitable up to 260°C.

Pressure-Vacuum: Up to 250 bar (according to the operational and/or assembly conditions)

Material:
100% pure e-PTFE (according to VDE-VDI 2480) in a stretched filament knotted fibre structure. This ensures that there is a high pressure resistance (no cold flow) and a good adaptation to the flange surface.

Characteristics:

• Simple to install
• Excellent adaption, ideal to compensate uneven gland surfaces
• Physiologically safe in temperatures up to 260°C
• No change in sealant width after compression - therefore ideal for slim or limited seal areas
• Selection criteria: max unevenness of gland should not be bigger than 1/3 of seal thickness

• Radiation resistance and excellent media resistance

Main Application:

• Fittings, sight glasses, vessels, pipes, joints, valves

Construction:

• Graphite purity – industrial (98%) and nuclear quality (99,85%)
• With or without impregnation
• With or without reinforcement (see chart)

Suitable for: Chemical, petrochemical industry, power stations, paper and sugar industry

Main Applications:

• Flanges, vessels, lids, joints, narrow flanges, bigger uneveness, tension sensitive components (e.g. sight glasses)
